The teams have played many of the same foes. Bethune-Cookman, from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference,\u00a0has beaten North Florida and lost to Jacksonville, Stetson, Florida Atlantic and split with\u00a0North Carolina A&amp;T.<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles (28-5) have more wins than any other team in the field.<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles learned there is little margin for error for a mid-major when the NCAA Selection\u00a0Committee shut out the Eagles from the\u00a0NCAA Tournament.<\/p>\n<p>FGCU now will focus on playing in the Women\u2019s NIT, which will be their fifth appearance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FGCU\u2019s women\u2019s basketball team will play Bethune-Cookman after being snubbed for an NCAA tournament bid.
