The measure is now headed to the full House.<\/p>\n<p>Students are required to recite the pledge unless a parent asks in writing for a child to be excused.<\/p>\n<p>A parent of a child at a Panhandle school told the school district it was not following notice requirements. Current law requires schools to post a notice telling students they don&#8217;t have to recite the pledge.<\/p>\n<p>The bill (HB 1403) sponsored by Rep.
