\"\"An 8-year-old girl in Lehigh Acres doesn\u2019t want cake or presents for her 9th birthday, instead she wants people to donate to a local dog rescue.<\/p>\n

Ellie will be turning 9 in February. \u00a0She loves animals and asked if she could have a dog-themed birthday party at home. \u00a0We started talking about it and got on the topic of how she could help animals in need. \u00a0We have talked about this in the past, so it was nothing out of the ordinary.<\/p>\n

One of the ideas was to collect donations for a local dog rescue for her birthday. \u00a0We would let our family and friends know that if they wanted to help, they could bring a dog bone, dog food, treats and\/or any contribution they wanted to make to help rescue dogs and drop them off at her party. \u00a0We would then donate everything that we collected to Love is Fur Ever Dog Rescue.<\/p>\n

She was thrilled with this idea and couldn’t contain her excitement. \u00a0She started to tell all of her friends right away and then decorated a collection box for the contributions. \u00a0Today, she told me that she wanted to use the money she has saved personally to buy dog food.<\/p>\n

Ellie has a huge heart and a passion for animals. Her heart is fully in this. \u00a0We believe in her. \u00a0We believe in her\u00a0goal to help save the lives of puppies and dogs in need and we support her completely. \u00a0We want her to know that she can make a difference in this world and we want \u00a0to help empower her to do so.<\/p>\n
