{"id":38378,"date":"2016-01-13T12:52:13","date_gmt":"2016-01-13T17:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=38378"},"modified":"2016-01-13T12:52:13","modified_gmt":"2016-01-13T17:52:13","slug":"suspects-sought-in-two-lehigh-burglaries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2016\/01\/suspects-sought-in-two-lehigh-burglaries\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspects Sought In <br>Two Lehigh Burglaries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/84Y8lhhCrko?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><\/center><center><\/center><center><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Southwest Florida\u00a0Crime Stoppers is asking for the public\u2019s help identifying two black males who broke into a pair of Lehigh Acres homes within the last week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The first burglary occurred last Thursday, January 7 on\u00a0Brazos Street E., after the homeowner left for work.\u00a0 Around\u00a06:45 a.m., he set his home alarm, only to be contacted by his monitoring company a few hours later, informing him that there\u2019d been a break-in at his house.\u00a0 Upon his arrival shortly after\u00a0noon, Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office deputies and detectives were already investigating the crime.\u00a0 Home surveillance cameras captured images of the two suspects climbing through a living room window, which they smashed open with a brick.\u00a0 The two ransacked the house and ended up taking a Smith &amp; Wesson 40 caliber pistol, a Smith &amp; Wesson 38 caliber revolver, as well as an iPad and other miscellaneous items.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><!--more-->Just a few days later, on Monday, January 11, the same two men are believed to have burglarized a home on\u00a0Butler Ave. S., also in Lehigh.\u00a0 A witness told detectives he saw a black four door Nissan pass by the victim\u2019s house a few times.\u00a0 Shortly thereafter, he saw the same car backed into the home\u2019s driveway, with two black males at the side of the house.\u00a0 Suspecting that the men were up to no good, and did not belong at that residence, he honked his horn, prompting the two men to run back to the Nissan, driven by an unknown third suspect.\u00a0 The homeowner reported that a side window had been broken with a rock, however no entry was made into the house.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Anyone with information on the whereabouts and identities of these two men, or the driver of the car, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).\u00a0 All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.\u00a0 Tips may also be made online at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.swflcrimestoppers.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.swflcrimestoppers.org<\/a>\u00a0or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.<\/p>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Southwest Florida\u00a0Crime Stoppers is asking for the public\u2019s help identifying two black males who broke into a pair of Lehigh Acres homes within the last week.
