Weaver Hipps Elementary were chosen by staff based upon their needs. The school chose 7 families; with 17 children total for the event. In addition to the shopping spree, families were also given a turkey, ham, and fresh vegetables. Sponsors for the event include Boar\u2019s Head, Chick-Fil-A, Lee County Explorers Post 19, Lehigh Acres Community Initiative, Nations Association, Pay It Forward Lehigh Acres, SWFL Produce, Wal-Mart and Winn-Dixie.<\/p>\n<p>We are so thankful for all the generous sponsors that\u00a0donated toys, food and money to help these children and families have a\u00a0special holiday season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Underprivileged children in Bonita Springs and Lehigh Acres will have an extra reason to smile\u00a0this holiday season,\u00a0thanks to donations from local businesses.
