\"\"October\u2019s Featured Artist at the AOI Gallery at Lehigh Regional Medical Center Caf\u00e9, 1500 Lee Blvd., Lehigh Acres is Becca Pratt<\/strong>.\u00a0 Ms. Pratt grew up in rural upstate New York surrounded by artists as her parents were members of The Art Institute of Buffalo. She received a BA in Spanish at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and later earned teaching certificates at Cortland, New York, and USF in Ft. Myers, FL.<\/p>\n

Becca renewed her interest in art when her father, Marcus Pratt, began teaching\u00a0Sunday\u00a0afternoon watercolor lessons to her family. \u00a0She became involved in stage backdrops for musical productions, and school murals while teaching at Country Oaks Elementary School in LaBelle, and began painting murals on the walls and floors of her home.<\/p>\n

Ms. Pratt currently teaches Art & Theater at Upthegrove Elementary School in LaBelle, FL. She enjoys working with watercolors, pen & ink, and pencil sketches of landscapes, still life, buildings, and animals.\u00a0Her creations can also often be seen at the AOI Barron Park House Gallery in LaBelle.<\/p>\n

AOI member and artist Donna Thewlis is the gallery director; please contact her for further information at 239-339-7265. \u00a0The Gallery is open Monday \u2013 Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
