A friend of Marlis Callahan, Rice&#8217;s roommate, came to the home and went into the backyard despite knowing the dog was aggressive and being warned not to enter that area.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The sheriff&#8217;s report said that the friend was then bitten in an upper thigh area by Block around 2:45 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Callahan told deputies that his friend left and returned about 30 minutes later and was let back in the house.<\/p>\n<p>Callahan said he had his back to the area where Block had been placed in his kennel when he heard a gunshot. He said he saw his friend standing in front of the kennel with a silver handgun and then the man ran from the house. Rice told deputies he heard the shot and saw the friend running from the home with a gun when he went to check.<\/p>\n<p>Rice added that he saw Block in his kennel with blood him. Rice said Block ran out of the kennel and then returned and died.<\/p>\n<p>Rice and Callahan signed a desire to prosecute affidavit.
