Members of the\u00a0Fort Myers Metro-McGregor Kiwanis<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0club recently prepared meals on two different evenings for the families at the\u00a0<\/span>Ronald McDonald House<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in Fort Myers. The\u00a0<\/span>Ronald McDonald House<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>is a\u00a0<\/span>\u201chome-away-from-home\u201d for families with children receiving medical treatment at the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Golisano Children\u2019s Hospital of Southwest Florida<\/span><\/a>. Services are provided at little or no cost, so families can stay together- helping their children heal faster.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Fort Myers Metro-McGregor Kiwanis<\/span><\/a>\u00a0also donated pull-tabs collected by the Littleton Elementary School K-Kids, which is a service leadership group sponsored by Kiwanis for students age 6\u201312.\u00a0<\/span>Pull-tabs are pure aluminum and are sold as scrap to raise money for the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Ronald McDonald House<\/span><\/a>. In past years,\u00a0<\/span>Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>has raised close to $5,000 annually in pull-tab collections.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
