Fans now have the ability to secure their prime seats to witness one of fewer than 50 programs in the nation to have won at least 20 games each of the past three years.

“We’re extremely appreciative of the support we receive at Alico which makes The Nest the absolute best home-court advantage in the A-Sun,” said head coach Joe Dooley. “Our season-ticket base is especially important to us, and I want everyone to know what a profound impact they have on each and every game. We’re looking forward to continuing that tradition into next season.”

Those season-ticket prices include 17 home contests during the regular season, representing approximately a 33-percent savings over the single-game ticket price (single-game sales begin on Oct. 1). Included in those games at The Nest are three non-conference opponents who ranked in the top-85 of the RPI last year, a pair of Atlantic 10 Conference members and the round-robin pre-Thanksgiving Hilton Garden Inn FGCU Classic.

Among the notable non-conference home docket opponents are Bowling Green (21-12, CIT 2nd Round in 2014-15), Massachusetts (17-15, A-10 Tournament 1st Round), South Dakota State (24-11, NIT 2nd Round), Louisiana Tech (27-9, NIT 3rd Round) and La Salle (17-16, A-10 Tournament 2nd Round). The average was the third-highest in the state, behind only UF (10,570), FSU (6,703) and Miami (5,111), as the Eagles produced the most wins of any Division-I team in Florida last year – 22, tied with A-Sun brethren UNF.

Alico- commonly known as The Nest to most ardent supporters – can accommodate 300 standing-room only fans to swell the capacity to 4,633. FGCU posted six standing-room-only sellouts (4,633) in 2013-14, including a record 4,702 fans for the A-Sun Final against Mercer. FGCU had 13 sellouts (at least 4,333 – which does not count the 300 standing-room only tickets) in 2013-14, and the only time that occurred before 2013-14 was once – against Miami (4,552) in 2012-13.

In total, FGCU has had 28 home crowds in the last two years (34 games) of more than 4,000 people – at least 92 percent of Alico’s capacity. Included in that total are 23 sellouts, 13 of which were standing-room only. Furthermore, over the past two seasons, FGCU has totaled 145,670 fans. That number represents 30 percent of the entire A-Sun’s attendance (501,853), which in 2013-14 included nine other schools and last year included seven other members.

SOCIAL CENTRAL
For up-to-the-minute information and behind-the-scenes access to the men’s basketball program, follow @FGCU_MBB on Twitter and Instagram, and “Like” us on Facebook at/FGCUMBB.

Following a third-straight 20-win season which resulted in a third-consecutive postseason appearance, the FGCU men’s basketball program again ranked among the nation’s elite last year in terms of attendance, and…

[114
