Parking fees will be waived at Lee County-managed boat ramps and regional parks, and admission will be waived at the county\u2019s swimming pools.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Where: There will be 24 sites at which no fees will be applied, including:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Regional parks:\u00a0Lakes Park, Manatee Park, Hickey\u2019s Creek Mitigation Park, Caloosahatchee Regional Park, Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Beach sites: Bonita Beach Accesses No. 1 and No. 10, Bonita Beach Park, Bowditch Point and Lynn Hall Memorial Park, Bunche Beach, Bowman\u2019s Beach and Turner Beach (north side only of Blind Pass)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Boat ramps:\u00a0Punta Rassa,\u00a0Matlacha, Alva, Davis, Pine Island Commercial Marina and Imperial River.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Pools: Lehigh Community Pool, North Fort Myers Community Pool, Pine Island Community Pool and San Carlos Community Pool.<\/p>\n<p>When: Saturday and Sunday<\/p>\n<p>Cost: Free parking and admission at Lee County managed boat ramps, regional parks, and county swimming pools.<\/p>\n<p>What to expect: This year marks 30 years of Park and Recreation Month and in celebration National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and Lee County Parks &amp; Recreation are encouraging everyone to throw it back to the 80s at their local parks and recreation facilities. Wear your best 80s gear to your favorite recreation center class or enjoy a 80s music jam session in your nearest park. Most importantly, just get out experiencing the power of parks and recreation for yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Nationally, NRPA is celebrating by sharing the impact parks and recreation has in all of our lives by releasing a short animated video titled the \u201cPower of Parks.\u201d NRPA encourages everyone who supports parks and recreation to watch and share the video with the hashtag #JulyPRM30.
