Southwest Florida\u00a0Crime Stoppers is asking for the public\u2019s help identifying and tracking down an unknown man who robbed a Lehigh Acres resident at gunpoint, while he was walking in his neighborhood this morning.<\/p>\n
The victim was walking in the area of\u00a011th\u00a0Street SW\u00a0and\u00a0Gordon Avenue S., Lehigh Acres, around\u00a010 a.m.\u00a0this morning when an unknown black male, driving a silver four door Honda, pulled up next to him.\u00a0 The suspect pointed a handgun at the man\u2019s chest and demanded his wallet and cell phone.\u00a0 In fear for his life, the victim complied.\u00a0 The suspect then asked the victim what his shoe size was, and then demanded that he hand over the red Nike sneakers he was wearing.\u00a0 He then took off and managed to evade arrest, despite a thorough canvass of the neighborhood.<\/p>\n
This afternoon, detectives were able to obtain surveillance photos of the suspect, taken just minutes before the robbery at the Dollar General located just a few blocks away.\u00a0 He is described as a tall black male, approximately 6\u20190\u201d, with long dreads.\u00a0 The unknown suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.<\/p>\n
