I will be hosting a fundraising dinner at the Knights of Columbus, today, Friday May 8.\u00a0 I am currently working on my Eagle project, to provide 5000 needy Lehigh school students with backpacks. I have partnered with the Lehigh Community Services, a non -profit organization.\u00a0 Last year, they were able to give away approximately 300.\u00a0 I am aware of being in competition with Ft Myers, but I asked myself &#8220;Why should Lehigh students have to travel 20 miles to wait in line only to find out they either ran out or closed the doors&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>I would like to see our community pull together for this project.\u00a0 An Eagle project is meant for community and leadership.\u00a0 Right now, I really need the community to come together and help me raise the funds needed to support our future&#8230;..the students of Lehigh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am Connor Blais\u00a0a Life Scout with Troop 720, Lehigh Acres.
