Currently the Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce is using the old \u201cLehigh Corporation\u201d logo for themselves and according to new documents they have no legal rights to it. Which has been told them many of times over the years.<\/p>\n

Now Cherokee Publishing and Media Group, Inc. has trademarked that logo for the protection and the conservation of this logo and artwork for the community of Lehigh Acres.<\/p>\n

Cherokee Publishing has asked the Chamber to cease and desist in using the logo and artwork unto a written agreement can been signed.<\/p>\n


\nCherokee Publishing ownership has stated in the letter to the Chamber, \u201cA fair and equitable contract can be signed at no cost to the Chamber of Commerce.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Chamber member stated, \u201cCherokee Publishing has just blind sighted us and has stolen the Lehigh Acres logo from the people of Lehigh.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cherokee Publishing has stated, \u201cCherokee is trying to act in good faith and protect this logo and artwork for many more years to come.\u201d A representative from Cherokee Publishing stated, \u201cThe Chamber could have trademarked the logo years ago and chosen not to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the Chamber could just listen and read and stop reacting negatively, this whole issue could be resolved in 60 seconds,\u201d stated a representative from Cherokee Publishing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the Chamber goes through with it has threaten, Lehigh Acres will have a new logo 100% owned by the Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce. Instead of the Real Identity<\/strong> of this community that our fore fathers wanted to protect for the next 100 years,\u201d stated a representative from Cherokee Publishing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Chamber will be meeting this week and has refused to start up and meaningful dialogue to resolve this small issue in a fair and equitable way\u201d, stated a representative from Cherokee Publishing, \u201cAll we want to do is what\u2019s fair and equitable for the future of the logo and artwork\u201d.<\/p>\n

Cherokee Publishing will be granting The Lehigh Acres Community Council rights to use the logo and artwork at no cost to the council Monday night at their regular monthly meeting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
