{"id":35485,"date":"2015-03-30T20:07:08","date_gmt":"2015-03-31T00:07:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=35485"},"modified":"2015-03-30T20:07:08","modified_gmt":"2015-03-31T00:07:08","slug":"lehigh-acres-boil-water-notification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2015\/03\/lehigh-acres-boil-water-notification\/","title":{"rendered":"Lehigh Acres Boil Water Notification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2117\" title=\"FGUA_logo_090521\" src=\"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/FGUA_logo_090521.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"92\" \/>The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) has issued a Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory as of\u00a0Monday\u00a0(March 30<sup>th<\/sup>) at\u00a012:00 PM, to Lehigh Acres Utility System customers due to a 10 inch service main break at McArthur Boulevard.\u00a0 <strong>Customers residing from McArthur Boulevard to Joel Boulevard and 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Street to Country Club Boulevard were affected<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The service main has been repaired and water samples have been taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory. Once samples show the water is safe to drink the boil water notice will be lifted.\u00a0 \u00a0Door hangers are being delivered to affected customers. Service is expected to be restored by Wednesday, April 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2015.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->\u00a0The FGUA provides a Boil Water Notice Advisory under Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) requirements in the event that water pressure drops below 20 pounds per square inch in the service area.\u00a0 In the meantime, the FGUA advises that all water used for drinking or cooked be boiled. A rolling boil for a period of one minute is sufficient to ensure the water is free of possible bacteria or viruses.
