Elected Fire Board promised and voted in a resolution # 14-09-05 (Click Here to read<\/a>); that they the fire board would not include Not-For-Profit (501c3) organizations such charitable, religious, scientific or literary and these organizations would be exempt from the fire assessment.<\/p>\n

\"\"NOW FOR THE GREAT LIE<\/strong> \u2026\u2026.. Their Attorney Richard Pringle stated for the record that everything was included in the NEW Initial Assessment Resolution and the Fire Board authorized it on March 24, 2015. (Click here<\/a> to download and listen)<\/p>\n

Note that on NONE of the 27 pages of the new Resolution, does it state anything about any organizations such charitable, religious, scientific or literary to be exempt for the Fire Assessment.<\/p>\n

And now on page 14 (Click Here<\/a>) of the Resolution which was voted on and duly authorized by the elected fire board on March 24, 2015, It states the Institutional Property will be charge by the usage of the property, so if Institutional Property is owned by a charitable, religious, scientific or literary and they runs for example a retail store on the property that property will be charged the fire assessment fee. This is the same if a Church has a daycare on the property according to the Pringle the church will be charged the fire assessment fee. . The ballot question did not have a usage clause in it, so how can the Elected Fire Board change it? According to Pringle the board consultants said that it can be done that way.<\/p>\n

But for the record the Fire Boards consultant GSG (Government Services Group) the same group runs the administrative side of the water company in Lehigh Acres and has be sued multiple times for their consulting services.<\/p>\n

In week of May 5, 2015 the fire district will be spending nearly $187,000 dollars of your tax dollars to send notices to every land owner in the fire district about fire assessment tax bill.<\/p>\n

On May 28, 2015 there will be a Special Public Hearing at 5:00 pm at Station 104 3102 16 Street SW Lehigh Acres. This is when the Not-For-Profit organizations most petition the Fire Board to be exclude them from the fire assessment.<\/p>\n

We tried to reach out to all the fire commissioners, Carter said \u201cNo Comment\u201d and Smith said \u201cI will look into this\u201d.<\/p>\n

Has Fire Chief John Wayne knowingly stood in front hundreds of residents and voters in Lehigh Acres and LIED? Did the board order him in executive session to do this?<\/p>\n

The truth is the duly elected board has NOT held up what they promised to the residents and voters in Lehigh Acres and the documents and the verbal minutes prove that.<\/p>\n

The madness must stop now. The Elected Fire Board must be forthcoming and truthful about whole tax assessment.<\/p>\n
