The purpose of the tower is to develop personal courage within JROTC cadets. They have to face and overcome their fears when they learn to rappel, climb the rock wall, and use the zip line. Cadets and Lee County school staff demonstrated the use of the tower and the marksmanship range. The invited guest speakers include: ELCHS Principal, Brian Mangan, JROTC Director of Instruction for Lee County Schools, Thomas Madigan, LTC (ret).\u00a0 East Lee County High School is located at: 715 Thomas Sherwin Ave., Lehigh Acres FL 33974. (photos of the event <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.917530631592069.1073742113.219190881426051&amp;type=3&amp;uploaded=80\">click here<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The East Lee Leadership Academy (ELLA) provides students with a high-quality education, incorporating the JROTC principles of leadership, discipline, patriotism, community service, and honor.\u00a0 The ELCHS staff is dedicated to the development of the mental, physical, and moral well-being of all student-cadets by preparing these young men and women to become productive and self-directed American citizens.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-34044\" title=\"IMG_4354\" src=\"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_4354-300x151.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"151\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_4354-300x151.jpg 300w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMG_4354-1024x516.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Currently there are over 1800 in ELCHS and almost 700 of those are enrolled in the East Lee Leadership Academy.<\/p>\n<p>The vision of ELLA is to become a world-class provider of leadership education and to prepare students for career success by providing rigorous and relevant learning opportunities while challenging students to achieve the highest potential of their minds and bodies. At the heart of (ELLA) vision is the determination to create independent learners; this is accomplished by providing a personalized experience enabled by universal access to education through technology, wherever and whenever our learners choose.<\/p>\n<p>The faculty and staff at East Lee County High School (ELCHS) are entirely dedicated to the students and their families. ELLA believes that parents are an essential component for success. We create a well\u2013rounded student by welcoming families into our world class learning environment. Our community is boundless with unlimited access to the world through educational technology tools.
