Local Home owners and voters in Lehigh Acres have filed complaints with Pam Bondi, Florida\u2019s Attorney General against the Political body known as The Lehigh Acres Fire Department; \u00a0the complaints charge the Department with deceptive, misleading and distorting the facts on their website, flyers and signage.<\/p>\n
J. B. said the most disturbing item is the threat on the flyer, billboard and website; \u201cWHAT\u2019S YOUR LIFE WORTH?\u201d It\u2019s like having a gun stuck by my head, vote yes, I live, vote no and one of my family members will die, she said. This is extortion, she concluded.<\/p>\n
G.S. said when I received the flyer the other day; I was appalled of the misleading untruths in the flyer. Even the ballot question in the flyer is wrong when it says \u201cThis is exact wording you will see on your ballot when you vote on November 4th<\/sup>\u201d. I called the local election in Ft Myers and according to Sharon Harrington it\u2019s not the same. So who is pulling wool over the people\u2019s eyes \u2026. the fire board.<\/p>\n B.S. said I\u2019m so disappointed in the Fire Board, they choose to use taxpayer money against its own citizens and voters.<\/p>\n Frank Lohlein President of Citizens Against Increased Taxes (aka C.A.I.T.) said in a recent interview, that our voting block of 6000 people in Lehigh Acres will be voting no on the fire assessment.<\/p>\n According to Lohlein this tax assessment will destroy the town by raising taxes on family\u2019s that are struggling to make it day by day.
