According to Scott, \u201cThis lawsuit filed was not arrived at easily.\u201d The fact is nowhere in the state of Florida has the pollworker controversy ever been raised. Scott says, \u201cSuppose the politics of the position makes many who know just keep quiet. The fact is poll workers are a large political patronage handed out by the supervisors of elections. I can find no stories on this subject and it may be it is so engrained as an acceptable practice it is ignored. Hopefully I can give the idea of correction a little push here in SWFL.\u201d<\/p>\n
Scott has arrived at that determination really rests in the content of the writ of mandamus filed in the 20th Judicial Circuit August 7, 2014.<\/p>\n
When Scott attended the introductory 4 hours class in Lee County there was over 100 new pollworkers. Scott was assured that of those 100 pollworkers 90% of them were also not retained. They worked a special election as the regular pollworkers were gone up north or wherever for the summer. Scott said he asked at that orientation if we are just filling spots for the regulars and was told no we will be called back.<\/p>\n

Click here<\/a> to read the law suit.<\/p>\n Scott went to say, when the supervisor of election willingly gives out 408,000 records on\u00a0every voter in the county for $5.00 and then refuses to give out the names of\u00a0the poll workers in Lehigh Acres, unless someone pays $84.50, there is a transparency\u00a0problem. The irony of giving data of the people and withholding data of the government requires\u00a0this type of civil action. If there is a problem with the people\u2019s data being available it was supplied by\u00a0Ms. Harrington. The bigger problem should you take my challenge is why she doesn’t supply the government data?<\/p>\n
