Lee County commissioners have designated Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, as dates during which parking fees will be waived at Lee County-managed boat ramps and regional parks, and admission will be waived at the county\u2019s swimming pools in recognition of National Park and Recreation Month.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->There will be 24 sites at which no fees will be applied, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regional parks: Lakes Park, Manatee Park, Hickey\u2019s Creek Mitigation Park, Caloosahatchee Regional Park, Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve;<\/li>\n<li>Beach sites: Bonita Beach Accesses No. 1 and No. 10, Bonita Beach Park, Bowditch Point and Lynn Hall Memorial Park, Bunche Beach, Bowman\u2019s Beach and Turner Beach (north side only of Blind Pass);<\/li>\n<li>Boat ramps: Punta Rassa, Matlacha, Alva, Davis, Pine Island Commercial Marina and Imperial River;<\/li>\n<li>Pools: Lehigh Community Pool, North Fort Myers Community Pool, Pine Island Community Pool and San Carlos Community Pool.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Not included in the free parking weekend are sites within city limits of other governments, including Barefoot Beach, beach access points managed by the Town of Fort Myers Beach, City of Sanibel sites including the south side of Blind Pass, and any Cape Coral parks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLee County is pleased to be a part of the nationwide celebration and help recognize the value and benefits of parks and recreation,\u201d said Dave Harner, Lee County Parks &amp; Recreation director. \u201cEnjoy a free summer weekend at our facilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lee County Summer Camps also are participating. To recognize this annual celebration, each Lee County Parks &amp; Recreation summer camp site will provide an activity or project to showcase within its park setting.
