Lehigh Acres was facing financial problems in the fire department because of the lack of revenue coming in as ad valorem tax due to the devaluation of homes by the Lee County Property Appraiser.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Even in 2009, \u201cThe board must strike a budget by the end of September, according to state statute.
