McGreevy was travelling in his 2001 Oldsmobile when he attempted to negotiate a right curve at a high rate of speed. McGreevy lost control of his vehicle, causing it to exit the roadway in a northwesterly direction of travel. The Oldsmobile then struck a tree, head on.
