The site enables alumni to network with other graduates in their geographic area or in their profession, locate friends and classmates they might have lost touch with, search for career opportunities, renew membership in the Alumni Association, make a financial contribution to FGCU and stay up to date on the latest alumni activities and campus news.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new community will be a valuable asset for making and maintaining connections among people with common history and shared interests,\u201d said FGCU Alumni Director Kimberly Wallace. \u201cWith FGCU awarding its 20,000<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0degree this spring, our alumni are a growing worldwide presence. They may be scattered far and wide, but this community will bring them closer together through pride in the university.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alumni who register at alumni.fgcu.edu by June 30 will be entered in a drawing to win an iPad2.
