Responding deputies found the victim, Martin Plummer, on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to the facial area. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->LCSO Detectives assumed the investigation and were able to determine that the three men were at the victim&#8217;s residence to purchase a large quantity of marijuana. One of the defendants, Nelson Lopez, organized the drug transaction. The investigation shows that during the transaction, Lopez and another defendant stole the drugs and Lopez grabbed the victim&#8217;s handgun from the dining room table.<\/p>\n<p>During a brief struggle, LCSO believes Lopez shot Plummer, killing him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lee County Sheriff&#8217;s office deputies have arrested three men in connection with a murder last month at 3317 12th Street West.
