The condition would be that \u00a0someone, somewhere in the world would die the minute you accepted the money.\u00a0 Using this ethical scenario from the movie,<em>The Box,<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0the Jag Journalism class was able to get into the minds of students at East Lee County High School. \u00a0After surveying the student body \u00a0most of them said that they would not take the offer. Junior Yeilys Matos said \u201cMoney isn\u2019t worth a person\u2019s life.\u201d Sophomore, Mianah Pabon said \u201cThat it is unfair\u201d. She also mused \u201cI would wonder if someone else took the offer would you die?\u201d \u00a0Other reactions centered around materialism.\u00a0 Junior Arnol Escobar stated that\u00a0 he was\u00a0\u201d\u00a0not a materialistic person.\u201d\u00a0 While Freshman Samantha Jordan said she would \u201cgo for it.\u201d\u00a0 The survey soundly proved that it really the situation was mitgated by many different circumstances and students overall were split\u00a0on whether they would take the money or not. \u00a0\u00a0Many times we have been told that teenagers are heartless and only care for themselves.
