The State said Webb shot the 30-year-old twice and wrapped his body in a sleeping bag before dumping it in the woods in Charlotte County. After hearing victim impact statements from Sorendino&#8217;s family, the defendant addressed the court and Sorendino&#8217;s family.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I know that there is nothing that I can say&#8230;for all of us involved,&#8221; Webb said, in part.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->&#8220;I want all of you to know I am truly sorry, and I know that&#8217;s never going to be enough,&#8221; Webb said. &#8220;I&#8217;m sorry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_28785\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-28785\" style=\"width: 210px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-28785 \" style=\"border-style: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; -webkit-user-drag: none; text-align: center; background-color: #f3f3f3;\" title=\"McDonald\" src=\"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/McDonald-300x207.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"145\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/McDonald-300x207.png 300w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/McDonald.png 471w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-28785\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rosina McDonald on the stand<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Sorendino&#8217;s mother, Rosina McDonald, left court before Webb gave a statement, but McDonald says her apology does not bring Sorendino back.<\/p>\n<p>McDonald expressed disgust with Webb&#8217;s behavior in the days between the murder and the discovery of her son&#8217;s body, noting much of what happened was not admissible during the trial.&#8221;You just can&#8217;t imagine the horror of what we&#8217;ve lived and what we&#8217;ve experienced,&#8221; McDonald said. &#8220;I&#8217;ve sat through two years of hell.
