The Coldwell Banker Real Estate survey released Wednesday ranked Lehigh Acres second in Florida and 20th nationwide at an average price of $111,410. Link to survey – See full Florida rankings.<\/a><\/p>\n

I do think it\u2019s a positive, said Fred Elliott, Broker of Coldwell Banker Preferred Properties in Lehigh Acres. It brings attention not just to Southwest Florida but to Home Town Lehigh Acres.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s happened since the prices plummeted, our demographics of Lehigh Acres have changed, according to a release for the Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce. There are 96,000 people here and more than a quarter population is 18 or under that is quite different from years ago.<\/p>\n

Despite the recent low prices in Lehigh Acres, home builders and remodelers are gearing up to build new homes or do major remodeling projects for the first time in years said Nathan Baschieri Market America Realty Network<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in Southwest Florida, prices were low although not in the same group as Lehigh Acres.<\/p>\n

Cape Coral and Fort Myers were almost tied: at $245,510, the Cape was 72nd lowest in the state and 993rd nationwide while Fort Myers was 75th in the state and 1,025th in the country at $250,489.<\/p>\n

No. 1 in the state was Arcadia, which at $107,691 was the 15th least expensive in the country.<\/p>\n

Highest in the US was Malibu, Calif., at $2.15 million. Cleveland was the cheapest at $63,729.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
