The incident occurred at 3840 Highlight Street, Fort Myers. Deputies responded to the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival deputies discovered the driver of a 2005 Chevy Pick-up truck was ejected from the vehicle and sustained life threatening injuries. The driver was transported to Lehigh Regional Hospital where he later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Due to the nature of the incident, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office Traffic Unit were assigned to continue the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Preliminary information reveals the driver of the Chevy Pick-up truck was traveling northeast on Highlight Street. As the driver attempted to negotiate a turn he lost control of the vehicle resulting in striking a pine tree and coming to rest in the nearby shrubbery.
