Why, you might ask? Because there are no clean towels. Here is Bruce Braley (D-IA) in his own words:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere&#8217;s hardly anybody working down there. There&#8217;s no towel service, we&#8217;re doing our own laundry down there. And we pay a fee to belong to the House gym. So this is no different than if you&#8217;re working for an employer that offers a wellness program. You pay a fee to belong, that&#8217;s what we do there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->In case you had forgotten, Head Start programs\u00a0have been shuttered, small businesses\u00a0can\u2019t get loans and hundreds of thousands of federal government employees are furloughed and cancer patients\u00a0don&#8217;t get treated\u00a0and national parks\u00a0turn away visitors.
