On\u00a0Monday, October 7, SWFL schools and schools across the nation will join together to bring awareness to kids and their communities about bullying.\u00a0 For the second year in a row, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers will be among those recognizing\u00a0Blue\u00a0Shirt\u00a0Day\u00a0World\u00a0Day\u00a0of Bullying Prevention by wearing\u00a0blue\u00a0shirts in an effort to bring awareness to anti-bullying programs.<\/p>\n
Southwest Florida\u00a0Crime Stoppers has met with community leaders to remind them about the importance of the issue and to encourage them to participate in\u00a0Blue\u00a0Shirt Day.\u00a0 School Board Chairwoman Mary Fischer led the charge in\u00a0Lee\u00a0County\u00a0by bringing up the initiative up at a recent School Board meeting.\u00a0 With the support of Dr. Graham, she rallied the entire District to get behind the cause.\u00a0 \u00a0Just under their Mission\u00a0and Vision statement, information about National Bullying Prevention Month can be found on the Lee County Public Schools website.<\/p>\n
