{"id":25487,"date":"2013-08-15T17:55:08","date_gmt":"2013-08-15T21:55:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=25487"},"modified":"2013-08-15T17:55:08","modified_gmt":"2013-08-15T21:55:08","slug":"will-the-lehigh-acres-community-planning-panel-disband","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2013\/08\/will-the-lehigh-acres-community-planning-panel-disband\/","title":{"rendered":"Will the Lehigh Acres <br>Community Planning Panel Disband?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lehighacresplanning.com\/Images\/LACPP%20Logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"317\" height=\"80\" \/>At the last LACPP meeting, the panel had a long discussion about the possibility folding up into the Community Council of Lehigh Acres.<\/p>\n<p>Lee County Commissioner Frank Mann was at the meeting and said \u201cthis panel has done your mission and it\u2019s time to change your mission or fold up into another group such as the Community Council.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Frank LaRosa a long term panel member said \u201cthe community council has never done what this panel has done for the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Mann it\u2019s time to have fewer voices coming down to the county office.<\/p>\n<p>LaRosa went on and on, \u201cI\u2019m the one that got Veteran Park in Lehigh Acres, I\u2019m the one who named the pee wee football teams the Lehigh Raiders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Yasin member of the panel said, \u201cWe need to be one group for the betterment of the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tonda Soisson-Lawson member of the panel said, \u201cWe tried the \u201cOne Voice\u201d program which I pay out of my own pocket but the community just cannot check their ego\u2019s or the problems of the past at the door.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was discussed that the members of the panel that would like to attend the Community Council meeting scheduled for Monday night at 6:30 p.m. at the community room at the Sheriff\u2019s substation on Homestead Rd.<\/p>\n<p>According to one of the Vice Presidents of the Community Council there will be agenda item on Monday night meeting about the LACPP.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the last LACPP meeting, the panel had a long discussion about the possibility folding up into the Community Council of Lehigh Acres.
