{"id":25279,"date":"2013-08-01T19:32:00","date_gmt":"2013-08-01T23:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=25279"},"modified":"2013-08-01T19:32:00","modified_gmt":"2013-08-01T23:32:00","slug":"letter-to-the-editor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2013\/08\/letter-to-the-editor\/","title":{"rendered":"Letter to the Editor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Lee County Commissioners:<\/p>\n<p>We must find a way to approve the vacated property ordinance, especially in Lehigh Acres.\u00a0 Huge support for this in Lehigh Acres where 90,000 people call it home.<\/p>\n<p>Please vote to institute this ordinance.\u00a0 Otherwise, the county will be helping to turn Lehigh Acres into the blighted neighborhood area of the county and we don&#8217;t deserve that.\u00a0 Homestead road needs mowing.\u00a0 Sunrise Boulevard needs better drainage.\u00a0 Lots of houses on main boulevards and beautiful neighborhoods sit with boarded windows, grass up to the window sills and code enforcement cannot keep up with it or afford it.\u00a0 The banks and owners must become responsible for cleaning up our community.\u00a0 They are the cause.\u00a0 They are the cure.<\/p>\n<p>THANKS &#8211; ONE VOICE<\/p>\n<p>Ruth A.
