She stated that as a Candidate for School Board District 4, which is a non-partisan race and as a mother of two kids in the Lee County school system, she would have a more effective platform and reach more voters county wide if she identifies with the voters throughout the county. Her message is not about politics, But, about achieving the best education results, for the students and parents of Lee County and the best return on investment for the taxpayer’s of Lee County.

Her concern is that with a 1.3 billion dollar budget, the School Board has to represent the community as a whole, to see that the children and the tax payers are given the best results for their investment. The policy of local preference should be adopted by the school board that it spends its dollars with as many Lee County vendors as possible and they should ensure that all segments in Lee County benefit from the dollars spent in Lee County.

As a School Board member, we also will focus on reduction of the dropout rates and implementation policies that will bring our educational system into the 21st century and make our students more competitive nationwide. Another one of her primary concerns will be to reduce the truancy rates and to have more students complete the process of their education than in the past. She has a Master’s Degree from Florida A&M University in Community Psychology and she received her Bachelor’s Degree from Bethune Cookman College in Daytona, Florida.

Contact Information:

Arvella Clare

Phone: 1-239-246-0940

e-mail: votearvellaclare@gmail.com

website: www.votearvellaclare.com

On June 24, 2013, Arvella Clare switched her party affiliation from Democrat to Republican.
