On\u00a0Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at\u00a03:19 pm, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a vehicle verses pedestrian crash. The incident occurred at Leeland Heights Boulevard and Richman Avenue in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Deputies responded to the scene.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival deputies discovered the driver of a 2006 Chevy HHR struck two pedestrian in the street away from the designated crosswalk. Two of the pedestrian were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Due to the nature of the incident, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office Traffic Unit were assigned to continue the investigation.<\/p>\n
Preliminary information reveals the driver, 47 year-old Susan B. Tanzer (DOB 12\/22\/1966) of 1215 Wells Avenue, Lehigh Acres, was travelling east bound on Leeland Heights Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle attempted to stop the when she noticed the pedestrian not in the crosswalk.<\/p>\n

Bessie R. Bivins ,23 of 145 Riverview, Fort Myers.<\/p>\n
Tiana Davis, 3 and Diamond Princess Davis, 4were both juveniles transported to Lee Memorial Hospital by Lehigh Acres Fire Dept.<\/p>\n

Update 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Two young girls are at Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries (one as a trauma alert) after they were hit by a car.<\/p>\n
The children 3 and 4-years-old were crossing Leeland Heights Boulevard with their mother when they were hit by a gray sedan.<\/p>\n
Witnesses say both children were thrown about 20-feet, landing on the sidewalk.<\/p>\n
