And others believe we need impossibly high moral standards because we have politicians.<\/p>\n<p>However politicians included, should have the moral obligation to uphold in their behavior what they profess and claim to believe and by which sense, and search for clarity of said sense, of right and wrong they honestly believe is valid and, in their deepest of hearts, decent.<\/p>\n<p>Politicians should be held to a higher moral standard, and they should be held personally accountable for any improprieties and indiscretions that involve them, on any level. We, the citizens, are supposed to live up to a certain moral and legal conduct, and therefore our elected leaders should be setting the examples.
