But neighbors were fighting back, saying not in my back yard.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Mickey Jones owner of Optimum Fitness and Rehabilitation, which he opened 6 years ago, wants to expand. Now Jones says he wants to give back to the community that helped him.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Jones wants to build a 12,000 square foot recreation center just across the street on <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=5th+Street+West+off+Lee+Boulevard&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;ei=iznOUfrCEIjQ9ASutYHwBg&amp;ved=0CAoQ_AUoAg\">5th Street West off Lee Boulevard<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Jones plans on a racquetball court, an outdoor track where people can walk, batting cages and swimming pool.<\/p>\n<p>Jones expects to employ at least 10 to 20 people when the center is up and running. There&#8217;s no timeline for that though said Jones.<\/p>\n<p>He says now that he has the OK to build by the Lee County Commissioners, he has to find a way to pay for it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Lehigh Acres doctor wants to build a recreation center for children and some of his patients.
