{"id":24524,"date":"2013-06-28T17:19:20","date_gmt":"2013-06-28T21:19:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=24524"},"modified":"2013-06-28T17:19:20","modified_gmt":"2013-06-28T21:19:20","slug":"two-arrested-in-grow-house-bust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2013\/06\/two-arrested-in-grow-house-bust\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Arrested In <br>Grow House Bust"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-24525\" title=\"Grow House LSCO\" src=\"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Grow-House-LSCO-300x175.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Grow-House-LSCO-300x175.png 300w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Grow-House-LSCO.png 517w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>According the Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office, two Lehigh Acres men are facing drug charges after deputies said they found a marijuana grow operation including 75 adult plants.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus Gabriel Mercado-Olavarria, 31, and Eduardo Cruz, 27, are facing charges of marijuana producing, marijuana trafficking, possession of drug equipment and marijuana possession with intent to sell.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->LCSO Deputies received an anonymous tip Thursday about a possible grow house at <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=4307+E.+15th+Ave&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;ei=ZfzNUaPTLoS49gTFhoH4BQ&amp;ved=0CAoQ_AUoAg\">4307 E. 15th Ave<\/a> and discovered several indicators the residence was being used as a grow house, according to a LCSO report.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators said Cruz, the home owner, met them outside with a marijuana cigar in his hand and told the detective \u201che was not a real officer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The detective said he was able to see into the house through the open front door and observe a gun and marijuana on a countertop inside.<\/p>\n<p>After getting a search warrant, detectives searched the residence and found adult marijuana plants, bags of marijuana, a .22 caliber gun, according to the LCSO report.<\/p>\n<p>Both men were taken into custody.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According the Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office, two Lehigh Acres men are facing drug charges after deputies said they found a marijuana grow operation including 75 adult plants.
