{"id":24170,"date":"2013-06-12T16:11:22","date_gmt":"2013-06-12T20:11:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=24170"},"modified":"2013-06-12T16:11:22","modified_gmt":"2013-06-12T20:11:22","slug":"fifth-person-arrested-in-morning-robbery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2013\/06\/fifth-person-arrested-in-morning-robbery\/","title":{"rendered":"Fifth Person Arrested<br> In Morning Robbery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-24171\" title=\"Con Store\" src=\"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Con-Store-300x118.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"118\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Con-Store-300x118.jpg 300w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Con-Store.jpg 463w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Five teenagers are under arrest for robbing a Lehigh Acres convenience store.<\/p>\n<p>Lee County deputies were called to the H&amp;K Food Mart, located at <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?q=1490+Lee+Boulevard&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;ei=E9W4UcGdGKnx0wGr_oC4Ag&amp;ved=0CAoQ_AUoAg\">1490 Lee Boulevard<\/a>, at approximately\u00a03:15 a.m.\u00a0 They met with a store employee who says while he was working inside, four unknown males wearing masks or clothing over their faces entered the store.\u00a0 The males demanded cash and other miscellaneous items.\u00a0 They also confronted a patron inside the store and demanded his money.\u00a0 The robbers were observed fleeing the area in a small silver vehicle.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Responding deputies observed a vehicle fitting that description travelling south on Homestead Road at a high rate of speed.\u00a0 Deputies attempted a traffic stop but the driver refused to stop.\u00a0 Deputies\u00a0pursued the vehicle until it finally lost control at the intersection of East 5th Street and Glenn Avenue and crashed into a wooded area.\u00a0 Occupants from the car bailed and fled the scene. Deputies rushed to the aid of a female who was pinned inside the vehicle screaming for help.\u00a0 Deputies were able to free the injured female from the vehicle and provide first aid.\u00a0 She was transported to the hospital where she was treated and released.<\/p>\n<p>Inside the vehicle deputies recovered cash, masks, gloves and a Smith &amp; Wesson BB gun.<\/p>\n<p>An extensive canvas of the area was conducted\u00a0for several hours using deputies and K-9 on the ground as well as the Aviation Unit.\u00a0 During the search, deputies located and detained five males hiding in the area.\u00a0 Information gathered during the interviews as well as the physical evidence located at the scene prompted arrests of the individuals.<\/p>\n<p>The following were arrested and charged:<\/p>\n<p>Norberto Gonzalez, DOB 6-18-96, of 629 South Summit Avenue, Lehigh Acres, charged with Robbery without a Firearm and Wearing a mask during the Commission of a Felony.<\/p>\n<p>John Francisco, DOB 2-19-96, of 2204 Brandon Street, Fort Myers, charged with Robbery without a Firearm and Wearing a mask during the Commission of a Felony.<\/p>\n<p>Jason Acevedo, DOB 3-3-97, of 735 SW 6th Street, Cape Coral, charged with Robbery without a Firearm and Wearing a mask during the Commission of a Felony.<\/p>\n<p>Cole Wessel, DOB 5-31-97, of 3020 Sunset Road, Fort Myers, charged with Robbery without a Firearm and Wearing a mask during the Commission of a Felony.<\/p>\n<p>Alexander Joassaint, DOB 3-23-96, of 3404 SW 41st Street, Lehigh Acres, charged with Robbery without a Firearm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Five teenagers are under arrest for robbing a Lehigh Acres convenience store.
