It’s time to get serious NOW and the Ray Netherwood for U.S. Congress campaign is kicking things off in high gear. On May 25th, 2013, Ray Netherwood officially marked entrance into the race for District 19 at the Libertarian Party of Florida state convention in Naples, FL, by announcing his intentions to the entire delegation in attendance.<\/p>\n
Ray has been invited to attend the Libertarian Party of Lee County monthly meeting tomorrow, June 5, at Shoeless Joe’s located at 13051 Bell Tower Drive in Fort Myers from 7pm to 9pm. The meeting is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am so excited to be able to speak to my fellow Libertarians at the Lee County meeting tomorrow night. We have been receiving a tremendous amount of interest and support from the community since I officially announced my run for US Congress, District 19. What we need in District 19 is an elected official who is willing to listen to the people he represents. I will speak at events, I will attend functions, I will participate in debates, and I will sit down with citizens of my district regardless of party affiliation. We need less divisive party politics in Washington and more common sense approaches that stand to benefit all of our fellow citizens rather than some party bigwigs,\u201d stated Netherwood.<\/p>\n
