Delhaize Group stocks closed Wednesday at $64.75.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to the news release, Bi-Lo Holdings will acquire all of Florida\u2019s 72 Sweetbay stores \u2013 plus leases for 10 prior Sweetbay locations \u2013 72 Harveys stores and 11 Reid\u2019s stores, totaling 165 stores with approximately 10,000 employees throughout the southeastern United States.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to announce this transaction, which will build on the strength of our BI-LO and Winn-Dixie stores and allow us to extend our great products at great value to a broader customer base,\u201d said Randall Onstead, president and CEO of Bi-Lo Holdings, in a news release. \u201cSweetbay, Harveys and Reid\u2019s are well-recognized and trusted businesses that share our passion for exceptional service. We look forward to welcoming the outstanding associates of all three chains to the BI-LO Winn-Dixie family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sweetbay spokeswoman Nicole LeBeau said it will be several months before the transaction goes through.
