{"id":23318,"date":"2013-05-15T16:13:54","date_gmt":"2013-05-15T20:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=23318"},"modified":"2013-05-15T16:13:54","modified_gmt":"2013-05-15T20:13:54","slug":"carjackers-joyride-ends-in-lehigh-acres","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2013\/05\/carjackers-joyride-ends-in-lehigh-acres\/","title":{"rendered":"Carjackers&#8217; Joyride <br>Ends in Lehigh Acres"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-23319\" title=\"carjackers\" src=\"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/carjackers-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/carjackers-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/carjackers.jpg 540w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Four carjacking suspects from Florida&#8217;s east coast are in the Lee County Jail tonight.<\/p>\n<p>Intelligence gathered\u00a0from the Hollywood, Florida Police Department indicated the four men might be headed to Lee County.\u00a0 At approximately 10:00 a.m. today, deputies with the Bravo District Special Enforcement Team (SET) spotted a vehicle in Lehigh Acres matching the description of the\u00a0vehicle stolen during a carjacking in Hollywood on May 10, 2013.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>With the assistance of Bravo District patrol deputies and Criminal Investigation Division (CID) detectives, SET deputies\u00a0attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle fled eastbound on Lee Boulevard making a turn onto Gunnery Avenue South.\u00a0 The vehicle then turned\u00a0onto a canal bank on Douglas Lane.\u00a0 The four occupants fled from the vehicle on foot but were quickly located and taken into custody.<\/p>\n<p>Arrested and charged were Sigmund Brown, DOB 3-6-97, of Hollywood, Florida; Derrick Adams, DOB 6-20-92, of Dania, Florida; Arvis Brown, DOB 11-25-97, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Bruce Francis, DOB 11-14-95, of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.\u00a0All men are charged with Resisting Arrest without violence.\u00a0 Adams was also on house arrest in Broward County and absconded from probation in November.\u00a0 Additional charges are pending from out of county.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four carjacking suspects from Florida&#8217;s east coast are in the Lee County Jail tonight.
