The three-day tournament gets underway on Friday morning and will conclude with a final round on Sunday.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am really excited to go back to this event. I know Georgia (Price), Chelsea (Guoynes), and Megan (Van Etten) are familiar with the course and that will give us an advantage,\u201d said head coach\u00a0<strong>Sarah Trew<\/strong>. \u00a0\u201cWe saw some low scores earlier this week and I really believe we are on the verge of breaking through where we have everyone firing on all cylinders at once. This is a course that will give up some low numbers if you play smart and attack at the right times. I think if we take the confidence we built from the second round in Ocala then we will have a successful tournament.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 17-team field includes Bradley, Cincinnati, Embry Riddle, Daytona State, Farleigh Dickinson, FAU, Florida Southern, North Dakota State, Oakland, Rutgers, Seminole State, Seton Hall, Tampa, Alabama-Birmingham, Texas Pan-Am and Xavier.<\/p>\n<p>The Green and Blue competed at the UC Spring Invitational last season and finished in 15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0out of 19 teams. Sophomore<strong>Georgia Price (Winchester, England\/Fort Myers HS)\u00a0<\/strong><strong>led the Eagles with a tie for 25<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0place, individually.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Eagles are coming off a tie for 7<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0place finish at the Ocala Spring Invitational which saw sophomore\u00a0<strong>Chelsea Guoynes (Traverse City, Mich.\/Traverse City Central HS)<\/strong>\u00a0lead the squad finishing in 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0place with a total score of 223 (75-71-77).<\/p>\n<p>The UC Spring Invitational will be played on the Lagoons course at the Plantation Inn Golf Resort. Layout is a 6,052-yards, par-72 configuration. Friday and Saturday will be begin with tee times at 8:30 a.m. with FGCU teeing off between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Sunday\u2019s final round will be shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The Green and Blue will sport the five-person lineup of junior\u00a0<strong>Megan Van Etten (Trinity Fla.\/JW Mitchell HS)<\/strong>, Price, Guoynes and freshmen\u00a0<strong>Sara Detlefsen (Eagan, Minn.\/Minnesota Virtual Academy HS)\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Mei Khuan Yong (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia\/S.M.K.
