Led by sophomore\u00a0<strong>Chelsea\u00a0Guoynes, (Traverse City, Mich.\/Traverse City Central HS)\u00a0<\/strong>who finished in 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0place individually.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">&#8220;Today was a little up and down, Im really proud of Chelsea (Guoynes) for battling it out when she was sick,&#8221; said head coach<strong>\u00a0Sarah Trew<\/strong>. &#8220;We didn&#8217;t play bad but we didn&#8217;t play our best either. We really need to work on making better decisions out there and staying focused during the round.<!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mercer led the tournament through all three rounds and won with a total score of 883. Stetson (890), Toledo (893), Morehead State (900) and Daytona State (905) all finished in the top five.<\/p>\n<p>Entering the day in a tie for sixth place, the Eagles shot a 311 total team score on the final day, bringing their team score to 315-295-311\/921 to\u00a0place seventh, just one stroke back of sixth place.<\/p>\n<p>Guoynes\u00a0paced the Green and Blue through all three rounds of competition. The sophomore finished the first round with a 3-over par (75) and then fired a 1-under par (71) in the second round to move into a tie for 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0place on the individual leaderboard. In the final round,\u00a0Guoynes\u00a0shot a 77 (5-over par) to finish in 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0place with a total score of 223 (75-71-77).<\/p>\n<p>Freshman\u00a0<strong>Mei\u00a0Khuan\u00a0Yong (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia\/S.M.K. Cochrane)<\/strong>\u00a0also shot a 5-over par (77) and finished in a tie for 18<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0place with a final total score of 228 (80-71-77).<\/p>\n<p>Junior\u00a0<strong>Megan Van\u00a0Etten\u00a0(Trinity Fla.\/JW Mitchell HS)\u00a0<\/strong>dropped back into a tie for 44<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0after a final round score of 81 (9-over par) and a total score of 234 (75-78-81). Megan participated as an individual and her score doesn\u2019t get tallied with the team score.<\/p>\n<p>Freshman\u00a0<strong>Sara\u00a0Detlefsen\u00a0(Eagan, Minn.\/Minnesota Virtual Academy HS)<\/strong>\u00a0also finished in a tie for 44<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0with Megan Van\u00a0Etten, with a total score of 234 (80-75-77) after shooting a final round score of 79 (7-over par).<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore\u00a0<strong>Georgia Price (Winchester, England\/Fort Myers HS)<\/strong>\u00a0finished the tournament in a tie for 51<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0with a total score of 236 (80-78-78).
