To qualify for the award nominees had to be 30 years old or younger in 2012. The list of winners will be featured in the upcoming May edition of Coaching Volleyball 2.0.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSustainability is all about identifying rising stars and nurturing their career growth,\u201d said AVCA Executive Director<strong>Kathy DeBoer<\/strong>. \u201cThis Thirty Under 30 class, the AVCA\u2019s fifth, is full of future leaders in the sport of volleyball. We congratulate them and, through them, celebrate our potential.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am extremely honored to be one of the 30 individuals to receive this award,&#8221; said Mahy, who recently finished his seventh season with the program. &#8220;I was pretty surprised when I first heard I was receiving this honor for the second time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of the thirty recipients, 12 are head coaches and 18 are assistant coaches.
