One person was killed and another was injured. The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. and involved two vehicles. Florida Highway Patrol is working the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Florida Highway Patrol say a silver Mustang and a red KIA sedan were both traveling east on SR-82 when the KIA attempted to make a left turn onto Homestead Road.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to FHP reports the Mustang attempted to pass the KIA and the vehicles collided.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the Mustang was ejected from the vehicle. That person was transported via ambulance to Lehigh Regional Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p>And the driver of the KIA was trauma alerted and flown to Lee Memorial Trauma Center by Aeromed.<\/p>\n<p>Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed that one of the drivers has died although it has not been specified which driver.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>State Road 82 and Homestead Road are back open after an overnight accident.
