\u201cOur goal is simply to create the ability for local schools to engage the use of a website where they control the information displayed,\u201d Robert Anderson, Gazette<\/em> publisher, said. \u201cWebsite usage is extremely easy to do these days and can also benefit the student population learning to use these tools, even in a limited capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anderson said the benefits for each school having a website sponsored by the Gazette<\/em> are numerous. Not only can each site act as that school\u2019s \u201conline newspaper,\u201d the site can be used to make announcements, display photo galleries, student artwork, student essays and much more,<\/p>\n

\u201cAs an effective communication tool, the possibilities using a website are endless, \u201c Anderson said.<\/p>\n

Feedback is always an important aspect in any education setting he said. The postings made by school personnel \u2013 faculty or possibly students (Middle school or High school level, perhaps) \u2013 can have a \u201cComment\u201d element allowing readers\/site visitors to \u201cvoice\u201d opinions. In any scenario, Anderson said, the school controls the content appearing on its site. All reader submitted content must first be approved by site administrators before \u201cgoing live.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anderson said he believes area schools will find this complimentary feature offered by the Gazette<\/em> a fantastic and helpful component in the education process. \u201cThe general public will, indeed, become educated about the activities and accomplishments each school will post keeping its readers up-to-date.\u201d<\/p>\n
