{"id":18161,"date":"2013-01-24T19:55:37","date_gmt":"2013-01-25T00:55:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/?p=18161"},"modified":"2013-01-24T19:55:37","modified_gmt":"2013-01-25T00:55:37","slug":"less-county-income-less-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/2013\/01\/less-county-income-less-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Less County Income = Less Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Editor,<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/less-county-income-less-services\/pig\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-18162\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-18162\" title=\"Pig\" src=\"http:\/\/thelehighacresgazette.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Pig.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"209\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>Less County Income\u00a0= Less Services (Fire, Schools, Roads and more).\u00a0 If you don&#8217;t have jobs up North and elsewhere, who comes to buy anything here?\u00a0\u00a0You have to get rid of all the foreclosures to create demand that justifies building.\u00a0 Right you have a supply of foreclosures that you are not forcing the banks to foreclose.\u00a0 You are putting the burden of people not paying association fees at hundreds of associations, as the current owners have to pay for those owners who are not paying.\u00a0 The guidelines of the 20th judicial court has to be changed to force banks to foreclose and get these homes in the hands of new owners.\u00a0 Once the foreclosures are gone, you have no supply &#8211; and you then have demand.\u00a0 You then have homeowner, property owner and condominium associations lowering their fees as all owners are paying and no longer delinquent, which puts more spending dollars into the economy.\u00a0New owners in the foreclosed units brings in more spending dollars.\u00a0\u00a0The banks must not be allowed to have 5 years before they foreclose.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Lee County must work on bringing in more\u00a0industry of other companies that creates jobs.\u00a0 If you keep cutting your budget, where do you\u00a0pull incentive dollars to encourage other industries to come to Lee County.<\/p>\n<p>We have to be more\u00a0than a tourist destination and create more than tourism support jobs.\u00a0 We must find &#8220;other&#8221; industry.\u00a0 Who will employ the unemployed?\u00a0 Who will employ those in college and in school now?\u00a0 Where will they get jobs?<\/p>\n<p>Ruth A.
