<\/a>A Harley-Davidson motorcycle impounded by Lee County sheriff’s deputies in a drug case is being raffled off to benefit teens in the community.<\/p>\nProceeds from the rebuilt 1959 “Pan Head” motorcycle will benefit teens in the community through the Sheriff’s Youth Activities League (SYAL).<\/p>\n
SYAL has successfully operated youth programs in the county since 2007, including the largest youth archery program in the state. And including the Veteran Park Teen Dances.<\/p>\n
The motorcycle was scheduled to be scrapped but survived thanks to a program named T.O.O.L.S. (Teens, Outstanding, Occupation and Leadership Solutions), which matched local teens interested in mechanics with companies like Harley-Davidson of Fort Myers.<\/p>\n
The motorcycle took six month to rebuild and is now worth more than $15,000.<\/p>\n
The motorcycle will be raffled:<\/strong><\/p>\n When:<\/strong>\u00a0Sunday, December 2nd<\/p>\n Where:<\/strong>\u00a0The Hot Rods & Hogs Car and Bike Show<\/a><\/strong> Hot Rods & Hogs is the largest one-day car and bike show in Florida and traditionally attracts more than 20,000 spectators.
