Certain individuals are for sale in Lehigh Acres as people are everywhere in local politics. These kind of people will get into local offices or on controlling government boards and then act nearly normal until someone speaks from behind the scenes in favor of his position. For example, let’s say, a major property tax payer or a land developer wants to enhance the value of his holdings though manipulating elected officials to make favorable decisions.

Land value here is very dependent on water control, especially when it includes lakes. An obedient patsy of such a developer would naturally vote to lower property taxes, even if it means letting water control property deteriorate further and preparations for a true catastrophe such as a one-in-one hundred year storm.

Suppose a developer (in Lehigh Acres) wanted to open up a special large project and there were the inevitable questions involving water control? Borosch has been quietly buying property in the old Savannah Lakes subdivision (near Homestead and Milwaukee Roads) in Lehigh Acres and currently owns approximately 40 percent through four different companies. None of the development’s lakes or water features has ever been dug. Could this mean that when Brosch owns 50.1 percent of the development he will call in a flavor and get Welch and two others that have been brought and paid for to dig the lakes on the taxpayer’s dime? Will this be the Burgermeister village of the future?

East County Water Control District has already spent a $340,000 grant to install a station to pump water into Halfway Pond. By the way, Halfway Pond is at the corner of the Savannah Lakes subdivision. The question remains is it actually used for Lehigh Acres flood control or is used for enhancing the Burgermeister village lakes of the future?

VOTE NO!!
