The roundabout, a circular intersection in which motorists travel in one direction around a central island, would be similar to the one at Sunshine Boulevard and 23rd Street West.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioners gave staff with the Lee County Department of Transportation direction to proceed with construction after a unanimous vote.<\/p>\n<p>Residents were hesitant about the project at a public workshop in April, but the Lehigh Community Council and the Lehigh Community Planning Panel both supported the effort.
