Judge Seals<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Honorable James H. Seals, who recently retired at the end of August, was having pizza with the Pace Center for Girls of Lee County around noontime today.\u00a0 While sitting in the Patio de Leon in downtown Fort Myers, much to his surprise, he was treated to a flash mob dance to celebrate his almost three decades of service to Lee County as a Dependency Court Judge.<\/p>\n

Deborah Leoci Meisenberg, a local attorney, was responsible for orchestrating the event. \u00a0She enlisted the assistance of Betty Gourley, a dance instructor at Footnotes Dance & Music Studio in Lehigh Acres, to choreograph the routine. Approximately 45 days of choreography and practice went into preparing for the event.<\/p>\n

In true flash mob fashion, the dance was started by a single dancer \u2013 Betty\u2019s daughter, Amanda \u2013 to the slow soothing sound of music. \u00a0Followed by Patty Jackson\u2019s Dancing Divas, many judges, lawyers, and others soon burst into dance with \u201cOld Time Rock & Roll\u201d by Bob Seger. Approximately 50 people participated in the dance.<\/p>\n

After the mob, Judge Seals said, \u201cThis was a huge surprise!\u201d and expressed his thanks to everyone involved.<\/p>\n
